The 50 for 2050 Imagination Salon brings together an extraordinary community to surface the 50 essential questions shaping our world in the year 2050. This is not a conference—it's an audacious, 60-hour accelerator for generational thinking.

For a decade, we’ve convened 4,000 global changemakers to expand worldviews and take on epic challenges. Join us for a three-day, two-night Imagination Salon—an immersive space for bold ideas, deep conversations, and action-based R&D as we build the future together.

The Imagination Salon is led by a curatorial team made up of pioneers in public health, behavior science, AI ethics, design thinking, business model innovation, emotional intelligence, and systems-level cultural change.

Radical Collaboration

Salons aren’t about being talked at—they’re about thinking and building together. Your primary experience will be as a member of an ensemble, working side by side with leaders from our community.

  • Your home base is a small group of 10, called a “Lifeboat”—a handpicked team of peers who become your creative allies throughout the experience. You’ll dive deep with them, then connect with the wider community during shared meals, provocations, and collaborative sessions.

  • One signature element is our “Purposeful Pairings”—curated one-on-one conversations that spark unexpected ideas, meaningful connections, and sometimes, lifelong collaborations.

  • We believe in the methodology of design to produce radical possibilities. The Imagination Salon is a pop-up design studio with an environment and tools for co-creation.

  • We will build bold, thoughtful proposals that intervene at the foundation of broken systems. To do so, we'll ask deep questions that reveal root causes and uncover systemic impact.

  • Day 1

    Prioritizing less formal presentations. Making space for intimate settings, early connections to other attendees, and exposure to content in exhibit itself.

  • Day 2

    Bridging experiences. Deepening connections. Rolling up sleeves to do the work with your lifeboats. Fellows acting as bridges to content.

Celebrate Audacity

Salons are rare air—moments to honor bold vision and brave ideas. We gather to celebrate what’s possible when imagination meets action. From future-shaping launches to century-scale exhibitions, this is where ambitious thinking gets its spotlight.

  • We treat food as a sensory experience and a catalyst for connection. Over the course of the Salon we will share 5 meals. The finale will be an extraordinary semi-formal dinner, a Hemingway moveable feast. This “Imagination Gala” will include an award ceremony, a special keynote address, a performance, and an arts experience.

  • We’re creating a new exhibition for America’s 250th birthday—one that asks what the next 250 years could look like. Salon guests will get a first look and a chance to help shape the story.

  • The Curiosity Society is a testbed for bold ideas. It’s where new possibilities are explored early—and the Imagination Salon is where they’re shared, shaped, and scaled with others.

  • Together, we'll time-travel: visiting speculative futures with our ideas, our models, and public data to make the invisible visible. This kind of emergent strategy guides our century-scale thinking. We work with leaders, organizations, and networks to make the future present.

Tools for the Century Ahead

Salons leap 6-months in 60-hours. Our studio + curatorial team produce original research, case studies, and speculative hypotheses ahead of your arrival. Through the real-time co-creation at the Salon, rare intellectual property is organized. This all results in a post convening Curiosity Society Toolkit and a 50 for 2050 published asset, codifying the body of knowledge we’ve developed together.
